Assessing
and Testing
There are 8 type of assessment. It does consist of
1. Formative (happens when we test students so that we can help them to do
better next time). 2. Summative (Test their knowledge at the end of semester or
year). 3. Informal (determine what to do next in a lesson). 4. Diagnostic (we
give this test for find the course to help us plan future plan).5. Placement
(test when they got first language teaching institution). 6. Progress (to see
the development of students). 7. Achievement (the end of semester or year). 8.
Proficiency (measure a student’s language ability). We should create the
examination in appropriate level of students.
